Artwork senders participated in the Qatar International Art Festival 2022
Fine Art Shippers, a full-service art logistics company based in New York, participated in the fourth edition of the Qatar International Art Festival (QIAF). One of the country’s biggest arts events, it was held at the Katara Cultural Village in Doha, Qatar, and ran for six days from September 25-30. Fine Art Shippers were responsible for delivering the artworks from Europe, primarily Switzerland and Spain, to the festival and their subsequent unpacking and installation. Other than that, art professionals provided guidance on venue setup and helped the company’s friend and Colombian artist – Will Yaya. The QIAF is not the first show for Fine Art Shippers. This year the team also delivered and collected artwork from the Hamptons Fine Art Fair, Dallas Art Fair, Armory Show, and was also an onsite shipper at the 2022 Palm Beach Show.
The primary mission of Fine Art Shippers was to transport works of art between continents. International shipping of artwork is a laborious task, and the team has accomplished it successfully. All works of art were safely delivered to the final destination, without any risk to their integrity. After that, the artworks were unpacked and set up for display. Fine Art Shippers also acted as an expert art consultant, sharing their knowledge with different people and companies present at the show.
The Qatar International Art Festival is not only about art, but also about community. To get started, Fine Art Shippers helped their good friend and established client Will Yaya set up a venue at the festival. The Barcelona-based artist and gallerist has been cooperating with the company for many years, so the QIAF has become a favorable opportunity to work together. Additionally, the Fine Art Shippers team has met many new and unique people, ranging from private collectors, dealers and curators to emerging and established artists.
The fourth edition of the Qatar International Art Festival has proven to be a distinct event in the region, bringing together artists from around the world. The six-day show brought together around 600 performers from 73 countries. Overall, it presented a number of entertaining events including a master class, artistic fashion show, live painting symposium and others. This explains why the QIAF is so popular these days. It helps a wider audience to build international communities and educate people about the role and future of the art market. After the work was completed and the festival was over, Fine Art Shippers returned to the United States to continue providing professional art shipping services across the country and overseas.
