According to Sentier Research, the median household income in the United States has increased from $ 61,858 in May 2018 to $ 62,175 in June 2018. These numbers are relative to where you live, but for most, it may not seem like enough for you. pay the bills, feed your family and saving for retirement. This is why many people are looking for ways to earn extra money on top of their full time. works.

I have nine sources of income. And I want to share how I got them, and how you can too.

1. My full-time job

Having a full time job is something that is supposed to give us stability and a regular paycheck every two weeks. The good news is unemployment rates in the United States have declined since 2014, but everyone still seems a bit nervous where will their next paycheck come from? That is why it is smart to look for more ways to make money. It’s a safety net if things go wrong with your regular paycheck.

2. Blogging and freelance writing

Writing and blogging are near and dear to my heart. Most freelance writers will earn less than $ 10,000 per year. But if you have a knack for writing, this is a great way for you to earn around $ 500 more each month. It’s actually quite simple to start a Blog using WordPress, one of the most popular platforms on the market. Find your niche and make money by writing about what you know and teaching it to others. You can start by learning how to start a freelance blog by joining Elna Cain’s writing class. She’s a terrific coach and does a wonderful job guiding you through the process of building your own writer’s website, posting great articles, and more.

3. Take online surveys

Taking online surveys is one way to earn a few extra bucks, depending on how much time you have to devote to it. One of the most trusted online survey companies is Swagbucks. You just sign up to create an account and then you can also create your own affiliate ID account.

4. Sell on Amazon

Selling on Amazon can seem daunting. It’s not my main source of income these days, but it does give me a little fun. Learning to sell on Amazon takes time and there is ton of lessons over there who will teach you how. But if you love e-commerce and have a passion for retail, it’s worth it.

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make extra money just by referring someone to the product you are using. For example, I use a software company called Click Funnels to create my marketing funnels. Every time one of my clients signs up for their own account using my affiliate link, I get paid.

If you want to know more, sites like Affilorama can be very helpful. They offer in-depth training covering from A to Z on affiliate marketing. Believe me it’s a fantastic way to earn passive income month after month without lifting a finger.

6. Network marketing

Network Marketing or Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) has been around for ages. It has a bad reputation due to some misguided businesses in the industry, but for the most part, if you get involved in a good business, you can earn a little income at the same time.

I started in the industry many years ago with a company called Synergy, but ended up at Herbal Life, one of the oldest and most successful MLM companies today. I use the product myself and earn a few bucks here and there. So, I’m happy.

7. Sell my skills on independent sites

If you have a skill or talent – say you’re a web designer or graphic designer – market your skills on freelance sites like Fiverr and Upwork. This is a large market where you can get new customers. You will see many businesses going to these freelance sites to order logos, build websites, write sales copy pages. And if you insist on your brand, you can make decent money.

8. Rent my goods

Real estate investments are a great way to generate a steady stream of income. If you are interested in the development of a property or the management of spaces, real estate rental could be what you need. I own several properties, but I hire a property manager to take care of them. This makes it pretty easy every month, even though it eats up some of my profits.

Getting into real estate can seem expensive and difficult, but there are many ways to invest in real estate that require different levels of effort. You can read Dave Ramsey’s Introduction to Real Estate Investing to learn more about your options.

9. Sell eBooks

Think about the strongest skills you can teach others and turn them into an ebook. Is there something you’re good at that people have always praised you for? Is there a talent that you have that you think is valuable for other people to know?

You can easily put this in an eBook format that teaches people how to do the same and then charge them for it.

It’s a quick way to build a passive income stream, which is always the best way to go.

There are lots of ways to earn extra cash on top of your full-time job.

If you notice, I have tried to make the majority of these ideas as “passive” as possible because I understand that there is not a lot of time during the day and on the weekends. All you need is a creative mind and put your talents and resources to work for you.
