Mondays and Thursdays: Ramona Chess Club at the Ramona Senior Center
434 Aqua Ln.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., adults aged 18 and over are invited to play chess and develop their skills. Participants should have previous experience and knowledge of the rules of the game. For more information, call Jeff Mitchell at 619-402-3243.

Wednesdays: Live lunch with the Chamber

At noon, Ramona Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Joe Stupar joins business owners and leaders of area organizations to share their services and offerings, as well as update the community on local events. .

Saturday: Guy B. Woodward Museum

July 2: Farm Day at the Guy B. Woodward Museum
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., learn about weaving and spinning, planting seedlings, and the history of Ramona, all led by guides in period dress. You can also see random engines in action and enjoy live entertainment! A suggested donation of $5 is requested. Visit facebook.com/GuyBWoodwardMuseum.

July 4: 4th of July fireworks

Olive Peirce College, 1521 Hanson Ln.
The courts open at 4 p.m. The event is presented by the Ramona Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of Ramona and the Kiwanis Club of Ramona. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own picnic or buy food from a selection of vendors, listen to music, and participate in games and activities before the main event at 9 p.m. Visit ramonachamber.com.

Ladies Who Lunch VFW

The monthly meeting will take place at noon. Menu choices and information will be posted on the Facebook page
titled “Ladies Who Lunch (Ramona)”. RSVP to Sophie O’Connor via the group page. Proceeds will be donated to the Ramona Senior Center.

Ramona Sports Club

The club will host the San Diego County Gun Owners Group, which will host a 60-minute seminar on the concealed carry process. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m., and everyone is welcome. Visit ramonasc.org.

July 24-31: Ramona Junior Fair

Young Farmer Organizations in Ramona and Southern California come together for this annual event. Take part in the auctions of livestock, pies and gift baskets, which benefit the young participants. Visit ramonajuniorfair.com.

July 29-31: Ramona Fair

421 Aqua Ln.
Enjoy three days of fun for the whole family! Shop at vendors, visit the outdoor adventure zone, enter contests, and enjoy live music, western shows, medieval demonstrations, and more. Ride tickets and parking passes can be purchased in advance at ramonachamber.com.

July 30: Ramona Junior Fair Cattle Auction

Support Ramona Junior Fair attendees by bidding on animal husbandry projects, industrial arts, home economics projects, and fine arts. The livestock auction includes pigs, rabbits, goats, chickens, turkeys, sheep and beef. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and the buyers’ lunch will follow at 11:30 a.m. The pre-auction ceremony begins at 12:30 p.m. and the auction begins at 1 p.m. Visit ramonajuniorfair.com.

BBQ & Brew for the Brave Guy B. Woodward Museum

From 5-8 p.m., join community members in supporting fallen military heroes, their families, and local veterans. Check out the gift basket designs and enjoy barbecue and libations from Turquoise Barn Cider, Milagro Winery and Smoking Cannon Brewery. Tickets are $50. Proceeds benefit the Liberty Special Project.
