The Riverssance Fine Arts Festival is back TODAY!

The Riverssance Festival of Fine Art returns on September 18 and 19, after a year of hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In its 33rd year, this outdoor event features more than 70 quality visual artists drawn from a national call for entries, live local music, food vendors, wine tastings and an art tent. for children. The event takes place in picturesque Lindsay Park in the village of East Davenport (Davenport, Iowa).

Hours of operation are Saturday, September 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, September 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. General admission to Riverssance is $ 4 for the day or $ 6 for a weekend pass. Free entry for children under 18 accompanied by a paying adult. The front doors are on 11th Street. Parking is available in the lot across River Drive on Mound Street.

1 pm-3pm: David G Smith

3 pm-5pm: Bucktown Revue


10 a.m. – 12 p.m .: Lojo Russo

12 p.m. – 2 p.m .: QC Vinyl

2 p.m. – 4 p.m .: Lewis Knudsen

On-site food vendors will include: Steve’s Meats, Pete’s Concessions, Lagomarcino’s and Café Fresh (Café Fresh – Saturdays only).

As one of Iowa’s premier arts festivals, Riverssance is designed to showcase and support visual artists from our region while enhancing the cultural vibrancy of our community. This event is fun for the whole family! Enjoy the outdoors and listen to live music, taste wines from Fireside Winery, find the perfect artwork from over 70 artist vendors, kids can also join in the kids activity tent, sponsored by Twin States Technical Services.

A reception to honor this year’s Harley Award for Outstanding Support for the Visual Arts will take place on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. The reception is sponsored by Medix Dental. This year’s recipient is Sherry Maurer, who has devoted most of her career to the arts. Maurer worked for the Augustana College Art Program from fall 1983 to spring 2013, including as Gallery Director, Art Museum Director, and Executive Director of Midcoast Fine Arts until 2020. His Invaluable experience and involvement in the Quad Cities art scene has helped countless artists!
