The Old Louisiana State Capitol, 100 North Blvd., will open the “Voices & Votes: Democracy in America” exhibit on Saturday, October 29. The exhibition will run until Saturday, December 10. Additionally, the museum will host its “Who Can Vote?” book club series, beginning with Gary May’s “Leaning Towards Justice: Voting Rights Laws and the Transformation of American Democracy” at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 29. At the LSU Museum
The LSU Museum of Art at the Shaw Center for the Arts, 100 Lafayette St., will open “Pearlware, Polish, and Privilege: Art by Paul Scott,” Thursday, October 27. The show will continue until Sunday, February 26. There will also be a free gallery with artist Paul Scott at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15.
The Constantinides New Music Ensemble from the LSU School of Music will perform at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 23 in the galleries of the LSU Museum of Art at the Shaw Center for the Arts, 100 Lafayette St. The performance is free. For more information, call (225) 389-7200 or visit lsumoa.org.
Addams Family Tickets

The deadline to apply for the Everett G. Powers Fund for Creativity Award has been extended to Friday, November 18. Created by the former CEO of the Greater Baton Rouge Arts Council to celebrate the council’s 50th anniversary, the grant will be offered annually to support new projects that focus on creativity and artistic excellence. Hair Band Ball
